Exposed Aggregate
From driveways to footpaths to patios, ColourPave™ exposed aggregate concrete is the smart choice for a near maintenance-free, durable and stylish outdoor surface.
Alongside its stylish appeal, ColourPave™ exposed aggregate puts an end to the problem of weeds and ants, is keenly priced, offers an unmatched range of styles and colours, and with minimal care will stay like new for years to come.
One of the great things about ColourPave™ exposed aggregate is that you can completely freeform design your paving shapes and contours. You can combine panels of different styles and colours and our new “Close Shave” low exposure aggregate enables varying exposure depths across the same project.
ColourPave™ exposed aggregate paving is available in a wide range of colours and styles and also includes a range of limestone products that can be finished in the same style as exposed aggregate concrete.
Once you have chosen your style or colour of ColourPave™ exposed aggregate, you need to contract a suitably trained and experienced grano worker who will place your ColourPave™ concrete for you. You should ensure that your grano worker strictly adheres to the ColourPave™ “Best Practice Placement Guide” which you can request from any CEMEX South West or Great Southern office or simply download from this website.
Remember …. plan ahead, hire a professional, enjoy the results.
Your ColourPave™ installer will expose the aggregate in your paving by using a retarder that is applied to the surface of the concrete. Exposed aggregate paving is exposed at a depth of 3-5mm whilst our new “Close Shave” exposed aggregate is exposed to a depth of 1.5mm.
To bring out the depth of colour, and ensure your ColourPave™ concrete stays in pristine condition, it is important that you apply a light acid wash to remove any loose or slurried concrete prior to sealing the project with either a silicone or acrylic sealer. CEMEX offices stock a range of sealer products at very competitive prices.
For grano workers, CEMEX also carries in stock a range of standard and adhesive foam joint fillers, Reveal and “Close Shave” retarders, solvent and sealer tints.
