Honed Finish

If you love the smooth look of polished concrete but need a non-slip surface – indoors or out – CEMEX ColourPave™ is now available in a classy honed finish.

CEMEX introduced a honed finish in response to customer feedback.  Many people love the look of polished concrete but want a product that provides superior traction.

With honed finish, the concrete undergoes a deep grind, in a very similar process as the initial grind of a polished concrete floor.  However, unlike polished floors, this is the only grind of the concrete.  Once sealed, the honed concrete gives the smooth appearance of a polished concrete floor, yet there is a tactile finish providing the superior grip.

Honed ColourPave™, like our “Close Shave” low exposure aggregate achieves that desirable smooth look with the added advantage that the aggregate or stones are sectional cut in the grinding process.  This reveals the inner textures and colours of each stone.

Use it around pools, on patios or even a driveway … and remember you can form your ColourPave™ honed concrete into any shape or curve.
